Special Notes

Important Note: Financial Assistance is available. CCCF believes every child who wants to play football should have the opportunity, regardless of financial situations. If you are aware of anyone who wants to register, but may not sign up because of the financial burden, please contact Craig Eckhardt (president@cavecreekfootball.com) to help arrange the necessary financial assistance.

Special Note for 7/8 year olds: Beginning this year, the Central Arizona Youth Football League (the league in which CCCF plays) has expanded the divisions and ages for tackle football. This year there will be TWO BIG CHANGES and greater opportunity for younger players to play age-appropriate tackle football.

FIRST, the 2008 Might Mite division now has a new name although the weights are generally the same as last year: The new name is CADET. Age/Weight restrictions: 8 & 9 (up to 100 pounds) and 10 (up to 80 pounds)

SECOND, a new lower division for younger/smaller players (which is taking the MIGHT MITE name): Age/Weight restrictions: 7 (up to 100 pounds), 8 (up to 80 pounds) and 9 (up to 70 pounds)

These changes (although somewhat confusing with the name change) will make it possible for younger and lighter players to compete more effectively against players of similar age & weight. Generally speaking, we expect the Mighty Mite division to be comprised mostly of 7 and 8 year olds (with a few lighter 9 year olds), while most 9 year olds and many 10 year olds will play Cadet (as together as they have in the past).

Please consult the weight chart in our "Key Info & Forms" tab of this web site: CLICK HERE

Flag Football is still available for players ages 6, 7, and 8 with no weight limits. Please see the "Flag Football" tab of this website for more information.

Final Note: Registration will be done on a first come, first served basis so we encourage you all to come out early, bring your friends and get registered for the 2009 season!

Kids with Cleats

During these tough economic times and to promote the idea of community involvement, Cave Creek Carefree Youth Football has started a new program called "Kids with Cleats" to collect old cleats and re-sell them to raise money for the Sgt Daggett Memorial Scholarship Fund.
