Last Call...
CCCF Coaches Clinic Times Have Changed (due to an unexpected death).
* It is now a two-part clinic:
* Friday (5:30 - 7pm), CPR Certification for Coaches.
* Saturday (6-8p) Coaching Clinic.
* This is required for all Head Coaches. (Head Coaches need to rsvp #
coaches attending for their team.)
* Assistant Coaches are encouraged to attend. (Assistant
Coaches--please make sure that your Head Coach knows you are attending.)
* Parents, if you haven't talked to your Head Coach about being an
assistant coach and want to attend, please send an email to
lid at cavecreekfootball.com so that we can put your name on the registered
list. All are welcome to attend the Coaches Clinic.
* The Clinic will be at or near Cactus Shadows High School. The exact
room location is still be determined. It will be posted on the website
(www.cavecreekfootball.com). Please check the site.
Pre-Season Football Camp starts Sunday, July 29th (5-8pm) at Cactus Shadows
High School stadium. (It also runs Tue--(5-6:45p), Thu--(5-6:45pm) &
Fri--(8:30-10:15a).)
* Any registered camper who gets a friend to sign up will receive $10.
BRING YOUR FRIENDS & TEAMMATES!!!
* To register, stop by Late Registration on Sat (7/28) at BMES from
9-11a. If you can't attend Late Registration, you can register at camp on
Sunday, but please do this if it is your only option.
Late Registration will be Saturday (7/28) for only the following purposes:
* Collection of missing paperwork. Please make sure to get your
paperwork in asap. This year we only have until August 11th to collect it
for tackle.
* Taking pictures of and weighing players who have not been in yet.
(If your son has not yet been in, please make sure he stops by.)
* Flag Late Registration (a few spots remain--if you want to be sure
to get one, please email lid at cavecreekfootball.com asap)
* Physicals (A doctor is scheduled to perform physicals from
9am-11am--$20).
We continue to collect names for waiting lists at all tackle divisions. If
you didn't sign up yet, please email us to get your son's name on a waiting
list in case any spots open up.
Registered Tackle Players should be hearing from your coaches shortly. (Flag
players will hear in early August.)
Please note the following important upcoming dates:
* Tackle Equipment Distribution (August 4th at Black Mtn Elem. School
gym). Teams are assigned times to collect equipment.
* Tackle Practice Starts (August 6th). All players must turn in their
signed physical form (with doctors stamp or business card attached) before
they can start practice. League rules require certain amounts of
conditioning to be accomplished before players can progress to certain
practice activities. Accordingly, anyone who misses any practice time during
the first week will be behind his teammates.
* Tackle Certification Day (August 11th). This will be done in a
League-wide forum this year and each team will be assigned to a specific
time. The Phoenix metro location for this has not yet been determined.
* Flag Practice Starts (August 20th).
* Association-wide Kickoff Classic and Picture Day (August
26th)...stay tuned for more details...
